I spent my life in ballet class. Perfecting, sculpting and crafting my classical form, but, I also loved to sing and didn't mind a 'big face' every now and then... which lead me to the progression of my musical theatre journey.
However whilst performing, I had a secret love affair with textiles, interiors, architecture and design. I quietly fantasized about rooms filled with beauty and opulence and imagined fabrics and colours that were yet to be seen.
Then at 27 and still treading the theatre boards, my passion for creating things kept inspiring me. I was forever making things...cushions, duvet covers, quilts, throws and also clothes. Then one day I showed a shop owner of 3 large stores my ideas and cushions and got a big order.
I quickly found myself a local sewing machinist, began making my swing tags and the rest is history… my vision took off and quite accidently- Emma Jay was born!
